The TEAS test will require you to answer 170 multiple-choice questions. The questions will not be tough. Once you pass the TEAS exam, your score will be valid for the next two years i.e., 24 months. So, you must get yourself admitted to a nursing school within 24 months of taking the exam.

You’ll be given 209 minutes to finish answering 170 questions. This is a good enough time considering all questions are in multiple-choice format. You’ll be getting a ten-minute break after answering the first two sections. These ten minutes are not part of the exam time of 209 minutes.

The term “composite score” is used for your main TEAS exam score. Your composite score will represent your overall performance in the four segments of the test (Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English/Language usage). Different nursing schools have different admission criteria as far as the TEAS score is concerned. However, if you have a composite score between 60 and 70%, you will find yourself eligible for admission at most nursing schools in the country.
